Terms of Service

Effective 2026-09-01 (Edit before launch) · Student Loan Rescue LLC (Edit before launch)

1. What this service is

Student Loan Rescue ("the Service") is a self-help software tool that organizes information you provide about your federal student loans, applies published repayment-program formulas to that information, generates tracking deadlines, and produces editable document templates for you to send to your loan servicer.

The Service is not a law firm, is not a financial advisor, is not a debt-relief or debt-settlement company, and does not provide financial or legal advice. No attorney-client or fiduciary relationship is created by your use of the Service. We do not contact your servicer on your behalf, do not file applications for you, and do not negotiate on your behalf.

2. No outcome guarantees

All computations are estimates based on the program rules and policy constants stored in the Service, each labeled with an as-of date and a confidence level. Federal student-aid rules change with legislation, regulation, and litigation. Your servicer's and the Department of Education's official calculations always control your actual account.

The Service never promises or implies forgiveness, cancellation, discharge, payment reduction, or any other outcome. Any third party promising such outcomes should be treated with caution.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter; computations on wrong inputs produce wrong outputs. You are responsible for reviewing every generated letter before sending it, editing it to reflect your facts, and verifying program rules with official sources (studentaid.gov) before acting on any estimate. You are responsible for meeting your real deadlines regardless of what the Service's tracker shows.

4. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters, and you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service, attempt to probe or overload it, or violate these terms.

5. Payment terms

The Rescue Kit is a one-time purchase ($29) unlocking the full plan-comparison report, letter generation (including a defined allotment of regeneration runs), deadline tracking, the default-risk profile, and the case panel. Guardian is a monthly subscription ($9/month) that additionally includes deadline reminders, recertification countdown, and unlimited letter regeneration. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled via the customer portal or by contacting support.

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Failure to pay a subscription converts the account to the entitlements it would otherwise hold (a prior Rescue Kit purchase is not lost).

6. Intellectual property; license to your documents

The Service, including its engine, text, and design, is owned by the operator. You own the information you enter and the letters generated for you; you may use, edit, and send them without restriction. You may not resell, scrape, or systematically extract the Service's content or output for redistribution.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind, and the operator's total liability arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to the operator in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for missed deadlines, servicer actions, collection activity, or any consequential damages.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the effective date below. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator is organized (see company information below). Contact: support@studentloanrescue.example.com (Edit before launch).
